Globe Valve

Globe valves feature a spherical body with an internal baffle that divides the chamber, creating a Z-pattern or straight-through flow path. A movable disk seats against a stationary ring seat to control flow, making globe valves the preferred choice for throttling and precise flow control applications. The design allows for accurate flow regulation throughout the valve's travel range, from fully open to fully closed positions.

The linear motion of the plug provides excellent control characteristics, allowing operators to fine-tune flow rates with precision. Available in multiple body styles including tee-pattern, angle, and Y-pattern configurations, globe valves excel in services requiring frequent operation, flow modulation, and reliable shut-off. While globe valves create higher pressure drops compared to gate valves due to the flow path changes, this characteristic actually contributes to their superior throttling capability and resistance to wire-drawing.
